Stoichiometry Calculation
Using your balanced equation solve the following problem:
You find yourself hungry for chocolate chip cookies and search for ingredients. You search and find you have enough of most ingredients, however, you only have 5/8 cup of brown sugar and 3/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Which item is the limiting ingredient and which is the excess? How many cookies can you bake?
The limiting ingredient is the vanilla extract and the excess ingredient is the brown sugar. After you change the amount of ingredients you will only be able to make 11 cookies instead of the original 60.
